Introduction
Cement industry is one of the key and infrastructural industries, in the development of each country. From the view point of importance, it is comparable to some main industries, such as petrochemistry, because cement is considered as a strategic product and its use in constructing bridges, dams, etc, is inevitable and indispensable.
This industry has a record and precedence of 70 years, in Iran.
From the early 1920s, Iran has been moving towards economical development and modernization. It began with several infrastructural plans such as railway lines, dams, roads, educational places, and public places and established several industrial sections. The demand for cement in constructing these structures caused the establishment of infrastructural facilities and governmental organizations and offices to be set on the agenda. These changes improved the conditions, to the present modern style.
In this way, the demand for cement, as a main construction material, was inevitable. The first cement plant in the country was established in Rey city (Shahr-e-rey) in 1933, with a capacity of producing 100 tons each day.
Until 1978, the annual capacity of production was approx. 7 million tons. After the Islamic Revolution and up to now, several pre-revolution delayed projects and some new projects have been put into operation. As a result of that, the capacity of the annual production has reached 37 million tons.
Considering the vast construction of infrastructures, and the government's investment and the will to export, the production of cement, in order to develop the economical goals, sounds quite necessary.
We have planned establishment design of cement factory in one of cities of Iran. The all authorization for establishment, exploration and production has been got from governmental centers.
